Birding of Addis Ababa

• The tour begins in the morning with an early pick up from your hotel at around 6:00 am.  
  The birding safari will begin with a drive around the edge of the city and then retrace downtown into the city for breakfast and more birding. We do bird watching in and around the gardens of selected hotels, patchy forests, wetlands and public parks. In the half day city outing, birds likely to encounter include, Abyssinian Slaty-Flycatcher, Wattle Ibis, Swainson's Sparrow, Brown-rumped Seedeater, Moorland Chat, Black-winged Lovebird, Abyssinian Thrush, Brown Parisoma, Rouget’s Rail, Abyssinian Long claw ( very rare), Red-cheeked Cordon bleu, Ethiopian Cisticola, Gray Woodpecker, White-backed Black-Tit and Abyssinian Woodpecker (very rare). There are more common species throughout the birding safari to be observed along with colorful culture to compliment the bustling city of Addis Ababa.

Package Prices Include:

Deposit & Cancellation Policy  

A 30% refundable deposit is required within 14 days of making the booking,  

Final payment is due 65 days of date of departure.  

Cancelation before 60 days, a fee of $50 per person is charged as a handling fee to cover the cost of processing the booking and subsequent cancellation.   

Cancellation between 59 days and 30 days, a rate of 50% of the value of booking is applicable. This applies for all services cancelled or reduced in number, from noon on the first day of their commencement.  

In the case of cancellation within 29 days from noon on the day the services commence or in the case of a no-show, a 100% of the value of the booking is applicable.
